COVID-19 FACILITY RULES FOR 2020

BUTLER CREEK FACILITY RULES FOR 2020

Effective May 22, 2020

Pool will be open May 22, 2020 with the restrictions below.

The Butler Creek HOA takes the health and safety of its residents very seriously and is endeavoring to balance this concern with our residents’ desire to use the community amenities. The HOA board has decided to implement the following policies temporarily. If we determine that these policies are not working, we may add additional restrictions, or be forced to close the pool for the remainder of 2020. We ask everyone to do their part to keep our neighborhood safe.

The decision whether to use any shared space (pool, tennis courts, covered seating area, playground equipment) during the current health crisis is a personal one. You should understand that by electing to use these shared spaces, you are assuming the risk of catching COVID-19. The BCHOA is doing what it can to mitigate the risk, but we are not able to meet the CDC standards for disinfection. For now, we have our pool company to clean the bathrooms and the common areas twice a week, and neighborhood volunteers will supplement that cleaning when possible. There is currently no procedure for disinfecting the pool area, bathrooms, tables and chairs, tennis courts, the pavilion area, the playground equipment, or any other communal item. We are a wholly volunteer organization with a very limited budget, we cannot guarantee that all common areas will be fully disinfected at any given time. As such, you should not assume that any of the surfaces on any of the community areas are free from the virus. You should wipe down any surfaces before touching them or sitting on them.

Residents who are not courteous in the regard to these temporary rules may have theirpool privileges revoked and their key fobs locked.

If you have any questions about the rules listed below, please contact a Butler Creek HOA Board Member.

We have determined that the following steps will help keep our common areas as safe as possible for those who choose to use them. Effective immediately, the following rules are in effect:

POOL

● 20 PERSON LIMIT. No more than 20 people may be in the pool area at any given time. If people are waiting, those already using the pool should limit their time to a total of two hours so that others may enjoy the pool.

● CHILDREN. Parents should ensure that their children maintain social distancing of 6’ from others not from their own household.

● CONGREGATE IN THE CORNERS. People who live together should congregate in the four corners of the pool deck and use the corners for their food and socializing time. Other parts of the pool deck should be reserved for sunbathing. Social distancing of atleast six feet must be maintained among people who don’t live together.

● LOCATION OF FURNITURE. We have set the furniture in a configuration designed for social distancing. Please do not move the furniture.

● DISINFECTION. As noted above, BCHOA does not have the resources to continually disinfect the pool area and we are relying on the people who use the pool to keep it, and the bathrooms clean. In addition to wiping down surfaces with their own products before they are used, residents must wipe down all pool chairs, tables, and bathroom fixtures when they leave.

● NO LOST AND FOUND. Any items left at the pool will be discarded if abandoned. There will be no lost and found. This includes pool noodles, goggles, towels, toys, and other items that previously were allowed to remain near the pool for others to use.

● 8 PERSON LIMIT ON THE COURTS. No more than 8 people may be in the fencedin tennis court area at any given time. Residents who violate this policy may have their tennis privileges revoked and their key fobs locked.
